Who does AI recommend? Almost nobody.
12 research agents mapped 70 wealthy neighborhoods from Conroe to Fort Bend, then asked AI the exact questions rich families ask. In home health, hospice, and private caregiving, not one neighborhood has an owned answer. Every open cell below is a neighborhood no provider has claimed yet.
The headline in one chart
Each bar is all the wealthy neighborhoods we tested for that category. Green means AI has no confident answer at all. Amber means only directories and generic city pages come up. Gray means a specific provider already owns it.
Five findings from the tests
Afton Oaks, average home far above $1M, is WIDE OPEN for private caregivers. And when you ask AI for home health there, the top result is Afton Oaks Nursing Center, a facility in 77087 on the other side of town that just happens to share the name. The wealthiest micro-neighborhoods are being answered with wrong or empty results.
The Reserve at Royal Oaks Memory Care closed and rebranded away, but its dead listings still win the AI answer for Royal Oaks Country Club. Families are being routed to a building that no longer takes anyone. Whoever claims this inherits the traffic.
Ask about senior living in Highland Village and AI answers with communities in Highland Village, Texas near Dallas, 250 miles away. The Houston neighborhood with the money has literally no answer of its own.
Carlton Woods in The Woodlands is the most exclusive gated address in the metro. The best content AI can find for senior care there is a moving company's blog post. Zero care providers position for it.
Six incorporated villages of $2M homes (Piney Point, Hunters Creek, Bunker Hill, Hedwig, Spring Valley, Hilshire) and not one has an owned answer in any category. Hilshire Village returns nothing but city-level directories in every test.

The build plus the niche carve-out: your category, your neighborhood, positioned as first mover. When a family in your neighborhood asks AI who to call, the answer should be you. Erika runs the same system on her own business first.

How this was researched
Published July 27, 2026 by Erika Crossley, PoweredByErika.com, Houston, Texas. Method: 12 AI research agents ran 633 searches and checks. Wealth data comes from Redfin, Zillow, HAR, Census and DataUSA pages, each visited during the research. Provider verification: company websites, CMS Medicare data (data.cms.gov July 2026 provider file), and Texas HHSC records. AI answers were collected from live AI assistant queries and live search results including AI-generated answer summaries; where an AI assistant's daily quota was reached, verdicts rest on live search evidence. Directory dominance (A Place for Mom, Caring.com, Seniorly) is counted as no owner because no local provider holds the answer. Verdicts describe AI visibility at the time of testing, not the quality of any provider's care. Every provider named is a real, operating business.
